Where else can you get 12 Bagels for $8? Nowhere except Costco.

Costco has a splendid selection, including the Kirkland Signature Cinnamon and Raisin bagel, and the limited-time blueberry bagel.

Costco’s bagel range includes a tempting two-pack of six bagels each, where you can mix and match flavors to your heart’s content. At an affordable price (item number 1335089), these bagels are a steal.

Now, let’s delve into the variety of bagels available at Costco, each with its unique flair. Pairing these with coffee or tea makes for a perfect breakfast. And don’t forget the amazing flavors when combined with cream cheese!

Here’s a rundown of the 5 Best Costco Bakery Bagel Flavors:

  1. Plain Bagels – A classic choice, perfect for any topping.
  2. Sesame Bagels – A delight with its mildly sweet, nutty taste.
  3. Cinnamon and Raisin – A sweet treat with a lovely blend of flavors.
  4. Parmesan – Savory and cheesy, ideal for a hearty breakfast sandwich.
  5. Everything (poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic, and onions) – A popular, versatile choice with a crunchy texture and nutty flavor.

How much Costco bagels?

They’re as pleasing as the flavors:

  • A dozen Costco bagels for just $7.99, which works out to only $0.67 per bagel.
  • Large box prices vary by flavor, but all are reasonably priced, ensuring both quality and affordability.

Costco sells other bagels in their regular bread section but they are not as cheap and honestly not as good.

How Long Before Costco Bagels Go Bad?

Bagels are essential bread and there is nothing special about them going bad just like regular bread. The warmer the temperature in the room the faster they will get moldy. Generally, you have 3-5 days on a countertop of a kitchen before they start to get moldy.

How to keep Costco Bagels from getting moldy?

There are two generally accepted ways to keep Costco (or any bagel) from getting moldy and that is to either put them in the fridge or freeze them. Usually what I do is when I come home from Costco with my two bags of bagels, I throw one in the fridge and one in the freezer. You can keep them in the fridge this week for 2-3 weeks. In the freezer, you can keep them for a month or two before freezer burn becomes a problem and they get dried out. I pop my frozen bagels in the microwave for about 20 seconds enough to thaw them out before I toast them. Toasting them makes them taste much better than just warmed-up bagels.

Can you freeze Costco Bagels?

You can freeze them. Just throw the bag of six of them in the freezer. If you want to keep them longer, individually wrap them in Costco Kitchen Plastic Wrap and then put them back in the bag or another Ziploc. This keeps them from drying out. They will last in the freezer for a couple of months this way. Just zap them in the microwave for 10 seconds so you can cut them and put them in the toaster.

Do I need to buy two bags of Bagels?

Yes, you need to buy two bags. This is a common complaint at Costco. I don’t want 12 bagels, can’t I just buy six? But the answer is a firm “no”. You can mix and match them. You can buy two different flavors or the same. But it must be two bags.

What is the healthiest bagel at Costco?

I’m not sure this is such a thing as healthiest. Probably the unhealthiest is the cinnamon and raisin bagels because of the added sugar. If I was going to give an edge to the healthiest, I might say the Everything bagel because the seeds and stuff is actually good for you. Watch the calories though because each bagel contains more than 300 calories.

What are Waterboiled Bagels?

This is where Costco is doing it right. Traditional bagels must be water-boiled for a few seconds before they go into the oven. This is what gives them their shiny, slightly tough skin. That is what makes them so good if done right.
